For those who prefer Tiger-style golf, check out the Diamond Oaks Country Club in Fort Worth. The 18-hole course opened in 1962 and is a local fav. There are also many golf courses in the area, so you’ll have no trouble finding other green to conquer. Wanna learn something new? The Parks and Recreation Department offers a nice variety of classes including Bellydance, Zumba, and Ceramics. Check out their class page to find out more. One of the best places for being outdoors with dogs in Haltom City is the city's off-leash dog park. Gateway Ball Dog Park has separate areas for small and large dogs, picnic stations, watering fountains for humans and dogs, and waste bags. There are other parks in Haltom City where you can bring your pets, such as Haltom Rd Park, Little Fossil Park, and Fossil Creek Park, but dogs must be kept on leash in these areas. One of the largest parks in the region is North Park, located on the north side of the city and adjacent to North Richland Hills City Park. Lake Worth Lake and Eagle Mountain Lake to the west also provide some green space.
