A Delightful Parade

Glenside is home to the largest Independence Day parade in the area. First held in 1904 and sponsored by the Greater Glenside Patriotic Association, this parade continues to grow each year. Local residents, businesses, and organizations put together floats and other activities for the community to enjoy on this special day in July. By coming on down to the parade, you can experience live entertainment and the one-of-a-kind Schuylkill County Motorcycle Drill Team show. As one of the longest parades in the country, you and your family will be provided with an experience to remember.

Keswick Theatre

Built in 1928, the Keswick Theatre still provides a variety of entertainment options to the residents of Glenside. The beautiful building is on the National Register of Historic Places list and recognized for its comfort and superior acoustics. Different spectacles take place at the venue, including musical performances, dance competitions, and Broadway-style shows. With a diverse nature and so much to offer, My Fox Philly’s Hot List named the theater as "Best Live Venue" for three years in row. A visit here will allow you to view beautiful architecture, as well as a performance to remember.
