Cultural Center at Gl

Glen Allen is no stranger to the arts with the Cultural Center at Glen Allen in town. The center is many things to Glen Allen locals; first and foremost, a performance space where they can see performances by local and nationally acclaimed artists. In addition to that, the center's gallery space has art shows from artists in a variety of mediums. The center also provides avenues for local residents to get involved in the arts themselves, with both youth and adult art classes in ceramic arts, painting, jewelry making, photography, and many more artistic mediums.

Meadow Farm Museum

Locals can connect with the history of Glen Allen at the Meadow Farm Museum, an old farmhouse converted into a museum. It was built to preserve the historic building, and teach about the culture and history of the rural south. Every weekend seasonal demonstrations of common activities from the 1800s are held at the museum, each associated with a part of the farm. This allows for much variety as the farm has a blacksmith's forge, doctor's office, kitchen, fields, and smokehouse. There are also opportunities for locals to give back to their community by volunteering at the museum.
