Gautier For Thee, At The Bottom Of Mississippi
Considered a bedroom resort community, complete with (metaphorical) bedroom eyes - all the better with which to usher you into its seductive confines - this city with the French sounding name is a great spot to hang tight with an awesome apartment space adjacent to abundant natural beauty. This natural beauty we speak of includes wetlands and bayous not by but for you (if you allow us to engage in a bit of cadence). Oh, and very cool birds. With more than 70 miles of scenic waterfront, Gautier is surely a sight for eyes sorely in need of spectacular spectacles. In the meantime visit the city's photo gallery via its official presence on the interwebs.
But - and there's always a but - be warned that Hurricane Katrina left a mighty bit of damage in its wake, and Gautier's location was definitely not spared. The city is no longer in critical condition, but it'll likely be a long road to recovery.
Moving to Gautier can be made easier by taking a look at our [AptGuideLink]. And dig deeper by checking out [LocalTalkLink], where you can get grab helfpful information relating to the city and get answers to questions from reliable area experts using the ""Ask a Question"" feature.
Apartment Rental Figures For Recent Months, Because You Just Gotta Know
And because good fortune favors the well prepared. And the bold. Do those sound like proverbs? In fact, do they sound like all of them? In any case, being a resort town, though with city stats just sour enough to suggest it's not all champagne wishes and caviar dreams, you can be certain that an apartment that fits the bill(s) is in your future. Not to suggest we have a crystal ball or anything.
As of ||monthpull||, the average cost of a one bedroom in Gautier was ||1BRrentpull||, while a two bedroom came in at ||2BRrentpull||. For a larger three bedroom, you'll see it clocked in at ||3BRrentpull|| as of that same month. Gautier: Gulf Coastin' It
So the area in, around, and under Gautier is apparently an awesome destination for ecologically sound tourists, otherwise known as ""Eco-tourists."" Get hip. Gautier's proximity to the state's barrier islands, shrimp fishing, Biloxi Bay, and other assorted sights and sounds make it a top notch spot to flex one's watery aspirations.
Gautier's been lauded both for its first rate high schools (which is really saying something in Mississippi) and apparently excellent environment for retirees as deemed by U.S. News & World Report. Not too shabby Gautier. Not too shabby at all.
The city's size has grown since the relatively recent date of 2002, when it annexed some nearby territory to beef up its geographical clout. It now stands tall and proud with 32 square miles of sultry southern landscape to call its own. Once a rural community with nary a chance of growing into the stronghold of perfectly decent living it currently represents, Gautier has this to say: ""Please know that the City of Gautier pledges our support to ensure our city would be a viable and profitable location for your company, and a great place to bring your family!""
We can't help but notice some bad writing there involving the combination of past and present tense, but you get the gist.
What You've Been Waiting For: Fun Under The Gulf Coast Sun
We made mention above of the fact that Gautier is an ideal location for recreational endeavors. Yes, the Redneck Riviera is staple of the region, and it's no doubt got its charms, but let's assume for the sake of argument that you'd prefer to take the proverbial high road on this one. And that means the natural beauty of Mississippi, not spring break.
Spot alligators, migratory birds, and basically live it up like bonafide swamp people with a tour of the Pascagoula River, the ""longest unimpeded river in the lower 48."" We can't guarantee you'll leave much like you came in, but at least you'll have a story to tell/smell.
The Mississippi Gulf Coast Attractions Association (whew, opt for ""MGCAA"" instead) offers a menu of its own gulf coast adventures too. From canoeing and kayaking to bird watching, it leaves no pebble of white hot Mississippi beach sand unturned in its quest to suggest quests. Oh, and the Audubon Center is also a great source for ideas. They're very reputable you know. Or at least we're sure Sigourney Weaver thinks so.
