About Galloway, NJ
A sleepy town in the Atlantic City area, Galloway is a quiet and pretty city that also boasts strong community involvement, manifested through active civic organizations, volunteer groups, and social clubs. As a community in the path to one of the state's biggest tourist destinations, Galloway gets a bit of the tourist trade, too, particularly at the local Seaview Resort, but for the most part, the town is left to the locals, and that is how Galloway residents generally like it.

Patriot Lake

Downtown Galloway's Patriot Lake is both a public recreation area and a 9/11 memorial site. A small but important part in Galloway's community consciousness, Patriot Lake spans a total of 4 acres and features a central lake surrounded by three memorial gardens, one commemorating the victims of each of the three separate attacks on 9/11. Enjoy a bit of nature downtown, where you will often see families playing or relaxing, and perhaps a few fishermen, casting a line into the well-stocked lake. The park is popular at lunchtime and a common picnic spot, with its lakeside gazebo and shaded picnic area.

Celina's Mulberry Mar

Located inconspicuously in a small shopping plaza just south of the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Celina's is one of Galloway's culinary treasures. Whether you stop in for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or just a cup of coffee, this is one of the best little dives in town. With a menu to satisfy all tastes and dietary choices, including a selection of vegan and vegetarian options, Celina's has a pleasant atmosphere and exceptional staff. Every dish is freshly prepared, and the cook does not mind special requests. Be sure to order something from the full espresso bar, too, which is also one of the best in Galloway.

Pubs, Bars, and Live

Less than half an hour's drive from the phenomenal nightlife scene in Atlantic City, you will never search very hard for a club or bar with live music or a lively happy hour, and while Galloway is a quintessentially sedate community, it is also a town with a few good watering holes of its own. Tailgaters Bar & Grille is a local favorite for catching the big game with friends while imbibing a few brews. Dubliner's Irish Pub & Grille is another busy local joint, with live music every Friday, or check out the trendier J.D.'s, where the younger crowd gathers.
