Welcome to Galloway. This township – yes, it is a township – pretty fancy, huh? This township is in Atlantic County in the “Garden State,” New Jersey. Galloway covers almost 115 square miles, about twenty percent of which is water. The township it not far from Great Bay and Reeds Bay and it’s about 12 miles from Atlantic City. Galloway is about 60 miles from Philadelphia, and about 115 to Manhattan, so you’ve got easy access to some major cities here.

Galloway, Oh, Galloway

Absecon Bay offers a great many opportunities to get out into the Great Outdoors. Fishing and boating are popular pastimes here. Check out Captain Dennis Wheeler’s page if you’re looking for someone to take you out fishing. Captain Dennis is your dude. If you like to hit little white, dimpled balls with clubs, you’re in good company in Galloway. Golfers can get their green on at the BlueHeron Pines Golf Club, the Galloway Golf Club, and the very beautiful and extra tweet (you’ll get it) Sea Golf Resort. Sea Golf offers 36-holes of Championship golf and instructional programs. The course is on an amazing 670-acres of land and is a Certified Audobon Cooperative Sanctuary (told you it was “tweet”) which is totally… tweet. The club also has a great resort and spa, and a main dining room and a grille room for yummy grub. Another interesting place to play is the Renault Winery Resort and Golf. This winery is also a New Jersey Historical site and offers some delicious restaurants, a hotel, tours, and… golf. “Vineyard golf.” Sounds pretty darn cool.

For a fun, historic, outing head to the Historic Smithville and Village Greene in the neighboring town of Smithville. You’ll find plenty of charming and unique shops, cafes, and restaurants here. Keep an eye on their calendar of events and hit the village during the Easter Bunny Breakfast and Parade, Mayfest, the Renaissance Faire, or Oktoberfest to see the village come to life and partake in some of these especially fun festivities.

With Atlantic City, a short 12 miles away, you can easily take advantage of all that this city has to offer by living in Galloway. Visit the tallest lighthouse in New Jersey (third tallest in the country), the Absecon Lighthouse, hit the casinos (if you’re feeling lucky), stroll the boardwalk, go shopping (or outlet shopping), or head there during the summer to catch the “Thunder over the Boardwalk” annual airshow.
