Fullerton, California

Fullerton, California is located southeast of Los Angeles, borders on Anaheim and has a population of 107,000 people. Originally citrus groves and later an oil well town, Fullerton today has some manufacturing but is largely residential. It has a vibrant ethnic mix, a very hip downtown scene, and offers a good lifestyle. Your Fullerton apartment will provide proximity to everything in Fullerton and all the areas of Los Angeles. It is somewhat walkable especially near the colleges, but one will need to rely on a car or bus service.

Downtown Fox

Downtown Fullerton is home of the Fox Theatre, a great example of Italian Renaissance architecture which was originally built as a vaudeville theatre in the 1920s. It fell into disrepair and was closed about twenty years ago, and the town took some time to gather up enough money to restore it. That is happening now and it's been a tremendous boom. Whether you walk or drive to the neighborhood, you can be sure once you're in your Fullerton apartment that it will be a place you'll hang out.

Outdoor Heaven

Fullerton maintains over 50 parks so the outdoor sports person can find about any venue for their sport. There's a lively arts scene and the Muckenthaler Cultural Center offers a number of art galleries and a theatre. Also, the city has approximately 200 acres in recreational land called the Brea Dam Recreational Area, an equestrian center and trails, a tennis center and two golf courses.

Steak with a View

The range of restaurants in Fullerton is very good. At the top, both literally and figuratively is The Summit. A great steak house with great views of the city at night. Then, there's Rutabegorz which is like no place you've ever been. It's a Fullerton landmark, started by hippies, serving fantastic fresh foods at good prices. It's a must see.

Bourbon Street West

At night, there's so much happening downtown with the 30 some odd bars that the area is often referred to as Bourbon Street West. Fullerton is known for its punk scene so that will be easy to find. For jazz lovers, try out Steamers. There's live music every night and no cover charge. For a cool atmosphere that is quieter and more mellow, definitely look into The Continental Room. Not loud but one good time and very friendly people.

Once in your Fullerton apartment, there will be a lot to look forward to and not far away either.
