The city has several parks where residents can spend some good, quality time outdoors. Steffans Park is the big one. With 26-acres of athletic fields and courts, large, super-cool playground called "Fort Fraser" (fun!), a and a concession stand residents flock to this park often. Ice skaters can enjoy the Great Lakes Sports City Ice Skating Rink. They offer ice hockey, speed skating, and lessons as well as public skating here. For info on everything senior, from their activity center and van service, to housing and their newsletter, click on the city’s page here.
History buffs, unite in Fraser through the Fraser Historic Preservation Commission. They publish a newsletter cutely called, "Strawberry Preserves", which informs residents on historical nuggets.
There are some fun spots to dine and hang in Fraser. The Great Baraboo Brewing Company is a cool place to go for grub and… yup, a tasty brew. Keep on eye on their calendar of events to partake in things like, "Sunday Prime Rib Dinner", "DJ Sunday Nights", "Happy Hour", and "Wednesday World Tavern Poker". Schmiddy’s Restaurant and Sports Haven is another fun place to go for food, drink, and sports viewing.
In the neighboring town of Clinton Township lies a very special place… ready for it? Morley Candy Makers. (Cue the dramatic sting!) These guys have been making the good stuff since 1875. They clearly know what they’re doing. Check in for a free factory tour and pick up a sample or two (yum and yum).
