Fountain Valley is a city of over 58,000 people located in Orange County, California.Just inland from Huntington Beach, this primarily residential area was incorporated in 1957. The name comes from the many artesian wells in the area. While you should consider the parking situation at your Fountain Valley apartment, also know that the city is more walkable than most Southern California towns.
A Mile Square of Fun
For the outdoor enthusiast, the Mile Square Regional Park is a 640 acre area containing lakes, golf courses, playing fields, courts of all kinds and more. It's a fantastic amenity to have nearby and the park also hosts a number of annual events like car shows and concerts. You'll also be just minutes from places like Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm and the beach. And with Costa Mesa and Newport Beach being the next town's over, world class shopping will seem next door. Going up to Los Angeles for major cultural venues is an easy drive too.
Fancy Food

Tsuruhashi gets rave reviews for being so good. Their Kobe beef and other meat dishes are worth the sometimes lengthy wait for a table.

Nights out in Fountain Valley tend to be casual. Silky Sullivan's is casual yet has very good live entertainment. Ozzie's is located in a bowling alley but, as a bar, is everyone's favorite karaoke and dive bar. Casa Inka is good for Latino music and Cloud 9 for late night trance music is fun.
