Fort Thomas is extremely family-friendly, and that means they think about everyone in the fam, not just the little buggers. The city offers many opportunities to get fit and active with sports, senior programs and youth programs, including “Teeter Tots” for kids and parents starting at two-years old, “Tiny Tots Camp,” and “Summer Crafts Program.” Check out the Recreation Department’s website for more info. There are some great places to get out into the Great Outdoors in Fort Thomas. With plenty of playgrounds, athletic fields and courts, trails, and open fields, you will have no problem finding places to get active outdoors. The city even has an amphitheater, a disc golf course, and even that special place for your furry, four-legged friend: that’s right. A dog park. Woof. Walkers and joggers will love the Lunken Airport Bike Path. The 5-mile loop trail goes around the airport and gives some great views of the river as well as zooming airplanes coming in and out of the airport. If you’re the golfing type, you can get your green on at Highland Country Club in Fort Thomas. The 18-hole course is set in lovely green, rolling hills and is a local favorite. The club also has bowling facilities, a pool, and a banquet room for your next big bash. Who knows? Maybe you’ll have a bowling, swimming, banqueting party – and you’re all set here.

Fort Thomas residents get to enjoy special, spirited events throughout the year like “Spring Egg Hunt,” “Touch-a-Truck,” “Family Nights,” and “Summer Entertainment.” Keep an eye on the town’s calendar of events to see what’s going on and partake in some of the action.
