As one of the most acclaimed public school districts in the Detroit area, it is no surprise families flock to Farmington. The Farmington Public School District serves over 11,000 students at its schools, which include nine elementary schools, two upper-elementary schools, two middle schools, and four high schools. This school district has received many accolades over the years, with the most notable being when three of its high schools ranked in Newsweek's list of the top 1,200 public high schools in the country based on number of graduating seniors and advanced placement classes.
