As one of the most acclaimed public school districts in the Detroit area, it is no surprise families flock to Farmington. The Farmington Public School District serves over 11,000 students at its schools, which include nine elementary schools, two upper-elementary schools, two middle schools, and four high schools. This school district has received many accolades over the years, with the most notable being when three of its high schools ranked in Newsweek's list of the top 1,200 public high schools in the country based on number of graduating seniors and advanced placement classes.

Farmington Civic Thea

Ever since it opened its doors in 1940, the Farmington Civic Theatre has maintained its classic facade. It has also been continuously operational, with daily showings of intermediate and second-run films. The theater seats 275 people on the main floor and 132 people on the upper floor. The theater has been newly renovated as well, with new seats, an elevator, and an updated lobby and concessions area. The Civic Theatre is part of the Farmington Historic District, so you can easily browse the over 150 shops surrounding the theater after your movie has ended.
