The city of Evansville is located in southwestern Indiana, and is well-known as the region’s “cultural hub”. Evansville is located wither Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky meet, and as a result it has a sizable population who travels throughout each state regularly. Evansville happens to be the third biggest city in the state of Indiana, with a population of over 115,000 people. The greater metropolitan area, however, houses over 358,000 people, making the city a sizable one in the mid-west.
Transportation in the city of Evansville is diverse and accessible. Evansville has its own airport, Evansville Regional Airport, which allows for as many as 30 different flights a day to different destinations throughout the country. Because of its location in the tri-state area, there are various interstate highways that go through Evansville, and they are continuously constructing new highways. The public bus system is the Metropolitan Evansville Transit System, called the METS by the locals. It provides buses to almost the entire city.
