Euless, Texas
Named after a farmer who created a cotton gin in the area, Euless is situated between Dallas and Fort Worth and has a population of just under 55,000 people. The city is proud of its history and has taken great steps in preserving buildings and areas of note.
The Tree City
Euless lies adjacent to the huge Dallas/Fort Worth airport and joins with the towns of Bedford and Hurst to create a triangular area sharing a school system and other services. Euless distinguishes itself by being very environmentally friendly with a tree planting system which has won national awards. The city celebrates this annually with their Arbor Daze Festival where some 10,000 trees are given away for planting.
Friday Night Lights
When you start looking for your Euless apartment, you quickly discover that you may want to be near some of its recreational sites if you are outdoor minded. The hiking and biking trails connect Bob Eden Park and Bear Creek Park with 12' wide trails for good long runs or rides.
The Texas Star Golf Course is an established, mature course which is popular with local golfers. And, of course, you're very near to the Six Flags Over Texas amusement park. Locally, football reigns and expect Friday night lights watching the Trinity Trojans football team. The high school team has won two state championships.
Cajun Cookin'
With two large cities nearby, there's ample opportunity for big nights out, but if you want to stay in your Euless apartment's neighborhood, there are some good local spots to check out. The Flame Steakhouse is renowned for its great fare as is Gater's Bayou, a very good Cajun food place. You'll find many national chain type spots all around the city and do stop by Chicago Style Hot dogs for a quick treat.
Outdoor Bars
At night, the Upper Deck offers indoor and outdoor partying. It's never dull there so be sure to stop in once you're settled into your Euless apartment. O'Dwyer's Irish pub is also a fun place and chances are, you can meet a few new friends there too.

Does Euless have a any famous musuems or exhibitions?
Euless proper doesn't have a major cultural venue but Dallas sure does, and it takes no time to get into the Arts District. Between museums, galleries, concert halls and shopping, it's fun to take a whole day and spend it in town. The cool thing to do is go park at the airport and take mass transit in and leave the car behind. Everything downtown is so walkable!
