Is Erie a family friendly town?
Erie is not a very family-friendly town. To begin with, the crime rate in Erie is considerably higher than the national average. Education is also an important component to consider for families with school-age children. As far as that's concerned, however, Erie doesn't fare much better. Erie students are served by the Erie City School District, which was rated better than just 19.6 percent of school districts in Pennsylvania and 53.3 percent of school districts in the country.
