  • Does Erie have any famous museums or exhibitions?

Erie is home to two museums of note. Located on Presque Isle Bay in downtown Erie, the Erie Maritime Museum is the homeport of the US Brig Niagara, a modern recreation of the US Brig Niagara that fought in the Battle of Lake Erie. With a focus on folk art and modern art, the Erie Art Museum is the city's main art gallery. It also hosts a popular blues and jazz concert series.

  • Are there museums in Erie or nearby?

Yes, Erie is home to several museums. The Erie Maritime Museum, for example, is the homeport of the US Brig Niagara, a modern recreation of the US Brig Niagara that fought in the Battle of Lake Erie. While the ship herself is the major attraction of the museum when in homeport, the museum also illustrates the area's maritime heritage through a range of multimedia and interactive exhibits. Erie is also home to the Erie Art Museum, the Erie Children's Museum, and the Firefighters Historical Museum.

  • Is Erie a family friendly town?

Erie is not a very family-friendly town. To begin with, the crime rate in Erie is considerably higher than the national average.
