Ephrata Performing Ar

Spend an evening at the Ephrata Performing Arts Center for an unforgettable experience. The venue was opened in 1953 under the name Legion Star Playhouse. Renovated over the years, the center continues to retain much of its original charm. Throughout the year, different performances are produced, including plays, musicals, and children’s events. Educational lectures and special programs also take place. The kids will be delighted to attend the theater summer camp where they can learn about different areas of the performing arts. If you love to act, be sure to attend an audition so that you can become part of an upcoming performance.

Ephrata Fair

The Ephrata Fair is a great way to spend time with family and friends while becoming involved in the community. The fair dates back to 1919 and continues to grow to accommodate the blossoming city. A parade is one of the main features of the fair and is filled with floats constructed by local residents and businesses. The fair takes place over five days and includes live entertainment, games, and carnival rides. Food vendors and craft booths are also found during the festivities, so you have everything you need to spend just one day or several.

Eicher Museum and Hom

The Eicher Arts Center is filled with historical significance and will provide you with a way to learn about the area’s past. The center includes the Historical Eicher House and the Indian Museum facility. The museum is located in a home built in 1733 that has been restored to retain its original charm. Daniel Eicher built the Eicher House in 1734, along with two log cabins for his daughter. These grounds are now used as a venue for private parties and other special events. The museum plays home to many artifacts, including Native American jewelry, photographs, and historical documents.
