Local History and Her

Step back in time with a visit to the Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center. This unique museum tells the story of the 1893 Great Land Run for the Cherokee Strip, with genuine pieces and the actual land run office. The Railroad Museum of Oklahoma is also home in Enid and gives visitors guided tours filled with amazing information. More than 1 million railroad-related items are on display, including a steam engine. Leonardo's Discovery Warehouse & Adventure Quest is geared toward children, and is part play area and part museum. There are always exciting exhibits and educational activities.

Enid has more than 30 picturesque parks, with more than 400 acres of wide open space for relaxing, and being in tune with nature. They provide residents with tennis courts, walking trails, fishing, and splash pads. There is even a skate park and bike park as well as Crosslin Park, the official dog park for Enid.
