A Day of Nature

To get away from the busy city life, stop in at Los Encino’s State Historic Park. The original de la Ossa Adobe, a pond, and a blacksmith shop are located within the park. Take a walk down one of the trails and enjoy the breathtaking scenery or have a quick bite to eat at one of the picnic areas. Other nature getaways include the Sepulveda Dam Recreation Area. This area is home to the Woodley Worel/Magnus Cricket Complex, which has hosted many famous stars and games in the past.

Earth Day Festival

The largest Earth Day Festival is held each year in Encino. The events take place at Woodley Park during the month of May and features activities for the entire family. A combination of music, food, and speakers will keep you constantly entertained. The main stage is the focal point of the festival and well-known bands and speakers use it. An art exhibit is also part of the event and engaging pieces of artwork covering sustainability and environmentalism are on display. To get the little ones involved, stop at the Kid’s Kingdom where storytelling, children’s entertainers, and other activities take place.
