Ned Brown Forest Pres

The Ned Brown Forest Preserve provides a welcome respite from city living for the fine folks of Elk Grove Village. All-day trips are the rule rather than the exception at the preserve, with more than 3,500 acres of land into which to venture out. One of the big draws of the preserve is elk spotting as the preserve is home to a small herd of elk. The park also offers spaces for picnicking and fishing on Busse Lake, among other things. A system of trails runs through the park, making it a great location for bicycling and hiking.

Elk Grove Park Distri

Elk Grove Village's parks system is robust enough that the Elk Grove Park District is an administrative entity of its own, separate from Elk Grove Village's city government. The district takes care of Elk Grove Village's many parks and provides a wide variety of services, enough to justify printing out an activities catalog that every Elk Grove Village resident receives in the mail annually. A wide variety of classes are offered for every age group, from standard fitness courses to art and history classes focused on the local area. With so many classes and facilities, the district truly provides something for everybody.
