Pelican Bay Aquatic P

Edmond residents of all ages beat the heat and break the monotony of everyday life at the Pelican Bay Aquatic Center, a city-owned and operated water park and community center that is open May through September. Certified instructors teach swimming and water safety classes for learners of all ages, and lifeguards are always on duty to ensure visitor safety. The water park's slides, channels, vortexes, playground, and climbing wall keep kids and teenagers busy, and there are wading and shallow pools for kids to hone their skills. Theme park-style snacks are available all season long in the Pelican Bay Cafe.

Parks and Trails

The Parks and Recreations Department of the city of Edmond manages more than two dozen community recreation and socialization properties, including outdoor parks and indoor sports complexes. Dedicated sports facilities include a skate park, tennis center, golf course, and soccer complex. Edmond's senior citizens have a very active center all their own to take exercise classes, participate in adult learning programs, and simply spend time with other mature members of the community. In addition to these facilities and outdoor green spaces, Edmond also boasts more than 13 miles of hiking, biking, and equestrian trails within the city limits.
