Public Parks

If Edina is famous for one thing, other than its rather affluent and accomplished residents, it is the fantastic array of award-winning public parks. There are more than 40 parks in the area including public spaces and golf courses. These include Braemar Golf Courses, Braemar Golf Dome, Edina Aquatic Center, Edina Art Center, and the indoor Edinborough Park. Edina's Centennial Lakes Park is especially beautiful, with 24 acres to explore, 1.5 miles of paved pathways, perfect for families with strollers, and a 10-acre pond teeming with swimming waterfowl, and surrounded by benches, and shady spots to picnic.

Edina Art Center

For those interested in pursuing their artistic passions, the Edina Art Center has been supporting and showcasing local artists for several decades. With plenty of classes to choose from, students of all ages, with all skill levels, can enjoy learning the craft of painting, sculpture, ceramics and even media arts. For those looking for something unique for their children during the summer months, the center hosts a number of summer camp programs. If you are not artistically inclined, but would love to own a work of art made at the center, the Clark Gift Shop has a fabulous selection

Braemar Golf Course

With a rating as one of the top 75 golf courses in the nation by Golf Digest magazine, spending a day on the Braemar Golf Course can feel like a vacation unto itself. Whispering oaks, lush rolling green hills, and 500 acres of utter seclusion make this course one of the most beautiful and most desirable places to golf in the region. It is hard to believe that the course is a mere 20 minutes from downtown Minneapolis, and adds to its appeal. Braemar features 27 regulation holes, two 9-hole executive courses, a driving range, and indoor golf dome and a pro shop.
