The original creators of the East Point Possums Show were invited to a costume-themed Independence Day celebration, and the foursome decided to get outfitted in the most outrageous drag ensembles they could find. After performing for fellow guests, the East Point Possums were born and, once their tip jar began to overflow and the crowd overgrew the confines of a backyard, the event took on a life of its own.
