East Palo Alto, California

East Palo Alto may share part of a name, a zip code and an area code with Palo Alto but is a very separate city. It was never a part of Palo Alto and even lies north of its neighbor not east of it. It has a population of about 30,000. The city has been home to military training centers and farming communities, but today it is a fairly rural like area which has undergone gentrification since about 2000.

Know when looking for your East Palo Alto apartment that you'll probably want to own a car so parking will be important.There is mass transit available into San Francisco on an hourly basis.
