Hikers, grab those packs and boots and head to the beautiful Fish Canyon Trail. The trail offers an amazing 9-mile hike to Fish Canyon Falls as well as an easier 3-mile hike through the canyon. Long ago, folks lived here Fish Canyon, so keep your eyes out for evidence of the cabins that used to stand here. Those who enjoy viewing wildlife should pack the binoculars. You never know what you might see. Golfing folks can get their game on at Rancho Duarte Golf Course, a nice little 9-hole course at the base of the San Gabriel mountains. The course is great for all players from beginner to advanced, and claims to have the ""Best Greens in Southern California."" Work up an appetite and then hit the course's ""Cuisine on the Green."" It's a lovely indoor and outdoor restaurant with Mediterranean and Lebanese dishes. Yum.
Ready to party it up all in the name of a historic road? One of the city of Duarte's biggest celebrations is the Duarte Route 66 Parade and Classic Car Show.
