You will find Douglasville has a lot to offer recreation-wise. Outdoor recreational facilities are abundant, including the West Pines Golf Club, which is a public golf course, to any number of parks, sports fields, and swimming pools. Nearby Sweetwater State Park has plenty of running, biking and hiking trails as well as Sparks Reservoir. Deer Lick Park and the Douglas County Skate Park are also nearby for those who want to ride the rails and perform skating and skateboarding tricks. You will find plenty of fast food and chain-type places along with locally owned ones like the Bankhead Diner, where you can get a fantastic breakfast or the enormous breakfast buffet at the Golden Corral.
