District Heights is a relatively young community with a lot of growth ahead. Currently, the town only makes up less than one square mile. Due to its attractive location just 10 miles away from Washington, D.C.,its population has been slowly growing over the past decades. In fact, the town only had 25 homes built within its boundaries in the year 1936. Although it is now experiencing faster and faster rates of growth, it still remains the quaint little town of District Heights.
