Denton County Courthouse-on-the-Square

The Denton County Courthouse-on-the-Square is the local courthouse for Denton County. The city of Denton is the county's county seat, which makes having the courthouse for all county proceedings a necessity. The courthouse has been a staple of the community, having been in existence since 1896 and having been recently placed on the National Register of Historic Places. The facility also has a museum, called the Courthouse-on-the-Square Museum, which carries local historic pieces and artifacts. The courthouse has long been the final resting place of John B. Denton, whom the city and county were named for.

The fair is famous for its musical acts, including musicians such as Stoney Larue, Johnny Cooper, The Great Divide, Radney Foster, Jason Boland, The Bellamy Brothers, and Restless Heart. In addition to the rodeo, the fair also has rides that are quite popular with young children.
