Although Florida is rich with coastlines, sometimes nothing can beat a dip in a nice freshwater lake. Deltona sits on the north shore of Lake Monroe, the eighth largest lake in the Orlando area. This provides much of the community beautiful views. Lake Monroe also makes up part of the St. Johns River system, and has a harbor for locals looking for a place to dock their boats. For even more outdoor fun, check out Green Springs Park. This green-colored sulfur spring sits on Lake Monroe's north shore and is open to the public year long.
Step into Spring at the annual Deltona Spring Fest. This festival brings the streets of Deltona alive with live entertainment, multicultural cuisines from top food vendors, and plenty of shopping. This is really an event for the whole family, though, with activities such as face painting, arts and crafts, bounce houses, and moonwalks that are just perfect for kids and those who are kids at heart. Held at the Dewey O. Boster Sports Complex, the Spring Fest is a celebration of Delton'a diverse cultural heritage that you definitely will not want to miss.
Deltona Arts & Histor
Do you think you are America's next big superstar? Deltona's Arts and Historical Center has two full service recording studios, making it the perfect place to record your first demo and show off your pipes. If you have trouble carrying a tune, however, do not worry. This center is much more than a recording space. It also features traditional and contemporary art exhibits and serves as Deltona's historical library. For those looking to catch a live show by some more experienced musicians, there is also a performing arts area that hosts live musical performances throughout the year.
