There are various parks in Decatur, including Hanna City Park, Stratton Park, and McMillen Park, which are good for running, walking, and picnicking. Located 18 hours southwest of Decatur with over 1,000 acres of land, Ouabache State Park is the largest park nearby. Activities include fishing, hiking, mountain biking, boating, camping, and nature viewing. In the winter months this park also offers cross-county skiing and ice fishing. About an hour south of Decatur in Ohio lies Grand Lake Saint Marys State Park, which comprises 13,500 acres and offers, in terms of recreation, boating, fishing, swimming, and hunting.
