Davis has plenty to offer art lovers of all ages. The Davis Transmedia Art Walk is a public art tour that offering more than 23 public murals and 15 galleries, all located downtown. This student-run picnic starts off with a parade and ends with a Battle of the Bands events. You will not find a shortage of performing arts in Davis. Residents should be sure to check out the Mondavi Center, also known as the Robert and Margrit Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts located on the UC Davis campus, the center is home to the UC Davis Symphony Orchestra. It also acts as a venue for local concerts, theater performances, and lectures. Along with the wonderful array of arts performed here, the center itself is designed and decorated in a beautiful, environmentally-friendly design with large glass paneled lobbies and walls lined with sandstone.
