Moderated by the Pacific Ocean, Daly City's climate is cool, with few extremes. Temperatures tend to stay, on average, in the 50s year-round. The average high temperature in October, the warmest month, is 65 degrees, while the average low temperature in January, the coolest month, is 45 degrees. Daly City receives an average of 20 inches of precipitation annually. Winters are wetter than summers, with January receiving the most rainfall.

With a population of over 101,000, Daly City is the largest city in San Mateo County, California. Located immediately south of San Francisco, Daly City is also an easy drive or BART ride away from its more exciting neighbor to the north, where those not satisfied with the nightlife options in town can take advantage of San Francisco's inimitable bar scene. Home to plenty of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and movie theaters, however, Daly City has enough to keep the younger set entertained during the evening hours, as well as in the daytime.
