The Corsicana Water a
It is no secret that Texas can get pretty warm and dry while maintaining summery temperatures for most of the year. However, many reach a point where they just want to cool down. Fortunately for Corsicana residents, the city is home to a huge water park that is open 234 days a year, giving the whole family an opportunity to chill out and have fun. The 23-acre Corsicana Water and Adventure Park features slides, a wave machine, pools, waterfalls, a zipline, and even a lazy river ride for those who want to take it easy.
The Pearce Museum
Being in Texas can make anyone want to don a 10-gallon hat and head off into the sunset. If living out that fantasy is not feasible, the next best thing may be taking in some art that captures the spirit of the Old West. Corsicana is home to Navarro College's Pearce Museum, which boasts an extensive collection of art and exhibits depicting important parts of Texas history, including the Civil War and both historic and modern aspects of the west. History buffs get a thrill from this museum, while spending a day feeling like they were transported to a simpler time.
