Cove Parks

Spending the day at one of the parks in Capperas Cove will allow you outdoor relaxation and recreation. South Park is home to a paved trail that runs alongside a creek. Enjoy the three swimming pools also located in the park, along with a splash pad and play area for the younger crowd. Ogletree Gap Preserve offers breathtaking scenery you can explore by walking one of the trails. A pavilion is also part of the preserve so you can enjoy a picnic or gathering. Another enjoyable area is Highland Park, with all the outdoor amenities you come to expect.

Annual Events

Spending time at one of the annual events in town is a great way to get involved with the community. Rabbit Fest is a four-day event held each May with activities such as carnival rides, midway games, a parade, and a chili cook off. Local artisans also have their arts and crafts on display for viewing or purchase. The Ogletree Gap Heritage Festival takes place in October and is centered around Civil War reenactments. A petting zoo, pony rides, and children’s areas are also available for the little ones to enjoy. All of these events are ideal for experiencing the culture of Copperas Cove.
