In the Sunshine

Folks who want to get out into that beautiful Georgia sunshine will have no problem finding enticing places go. PATH trails can be found throughout the community and a new one just opened in 2011 in Olde Town. If you're looking for a wilder outdoor experience, head to the massive Georgia International Horse Park. With miles of trail for horseback riding, biking, jogging, and hiking, you're sure to get your fill of the great outdoors here. The Horse Park here even hosted the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games equestrian events and mountain bike competitions. Festivals and concerts are frequently held here and the space is even available for big bashes like weddings and family reunions (or really big housewarming parties). Big Haynes Creek Nature Center, located within the park, is a beautiful place to canoe, watch for wildlife, or simply sit and watch the grass grow. The center also has "Discovery Stations" with educational exhibits and touch stations.

Ye Olde Conyers

Whether you walk, bike, or drive, you'll want to go to Olde Town often. Enjoy the quaint, charming streets as you peruse unique shops and snack on treats at great restaurants and cafes, such as "Thai Palace,” "Club 908," and "Las Flores Mex." There are some picturesque parts of Olde Town as well, including the Lewis-Vaughn Botanical Garden, with its fountain, goldfish pond, and beautiful greenery. The "Official Main Street City," is also a community hub and many fun festivals, such as the "Olde Town Fall Festival" and the deliciously fabulous "Taste of Conyers." The city has many other great festivals throughout the year as well so keep your eye on that calendar. It seems that there’s always something to celebrate in Conyers!
