Life in Town
As a resident of Cheyenne, you have access to great restaurants, shopping, and some quirky local hotspots that are sure to get you in the Cheyenne spirit. Check out the Cowgirls of the West Museum, Cheyenne Depot, and even the world's largest steam locomotive, the Big Boy Steam Engine. The Terry Bison Ranch is another spot to visit again and again. This 30,000-acre ranch is home to more than 2,300 bison. You can take a tour of the herd by train, go horseback riding, snap some old-time photos, fish, or head to the old-west restaurant and saloon for a terrific Western meal.
Heading out of Town
In addition to all there is to do and see in Cheyenne, you are close to some truly amazing American attractions that make for perfect day trips or overnight stays. A short drive from Cheyenne can take you to Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park, and even Mount Rushmore. Those people who live in the city can enjoy the Western small town feel and rich history. There are plenty of inspiring outdoor activities nearby, along with "big ticket" nearby attractions to visit. Cheyenne's spirit and pride in its history make for a lively community rich with festivals, rodeos, and Western fun.
