A Scallop Social You’ll never run out of things to do in Buzzards Bay with its many community events, the most well-known of which is the Bourne Scallop Fest. More than 55,000 people attend this annual event, recognized as one of the “Top 100 Events in North America” by The American Bus Association. You won’t need to eat the same old stuff in your apartment for three days in September. The fest features scallop and herb-roasted chicken dinners, sausage, hot dogs, strawberry shortcake, kettle corn, and more.
