Boynton Beach, Florida
Boynton Beach is located on Florida's east coast about half way between Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale. The 67,000 people who live there enjoy the best of a Florida lifestyle with great beaches and weather. When you start searching for your Boynton Beach apartment, understand that while sections of the city are very walkable, you will most likely require a car for both commuting and recreational activities.
A Community with a Brain
This area of Florida first saw development in 1894 when the Boynton Beach Hotel was built, but other than the hotel and a number of citrus groves and farmland to support the hotel, it remained a quiet area. Today, it is a thriving city which prides itself on being community minded. The downtown is undergoing redevelopment and a new harbor and marina is also in the works. While you'll find all the conveniences like movie theatres, great shopping and fantastic golf courses and beaches, you'll want to go up to Palm Beach or to Fort Lauderdale for museums, concerts and other performing arts.
Fun Restaurants
Of course, there will be great neighborhood restaurants near your Boynton Beach apartment, but get started in the area by visiting some of the local favorites. The Banana Boat Restaurant and Two Georges Grille are both near the water, and double as both good food providers and live entertainment venues. The Bonefish Grill also gets high marks and not just for seafood. Their steaks are great! If diners are more your thing, then check out the Palm Diner. It's been there for years and it is always consistent. You will find all the best chains as well as mom and pop places serving just about any cuisine you can think of, too.
Beach Bars
At night, find little bars either in the neighborhood or near the beach. Places like Skeeters and Slainte Irish Pub are both good places to meet a few new locals.Since Delray Beach is just the next town, you'll find yourself going there to good places like Falcon House which is dark and sexy. All up and down the coast, there are great beach bars and once in your Boynton Beach apartment, you'll easily find them.
