Bloomington, Minnesota

Bloomington, Minnesota is located due south of Minneapolis and while considered a suburb is very much its own city. The population of around 81,000 can be proud of a great city and place to live. When beginning the search for your Bloomington apartment, know that it is largely a car dependent area although there is excellent commuter service into Minneapolis.

The city is essentially divided into East and West by an Interstate highway. Both sides contain residential areas. Also know that one third of the city's land is reserved for parks some of which are natural habitats. There are several large lakes within city boundaries too.

Mall of America

The area of the city where the Vikings and the Twins once played is now the site of the Mall of America and is, without a doubt, one of the main attractions of not only Bloomington but the whole state. Within miles of the city are a number of big casinos where you'll find plenty of entertainment as well as gambling. Cruising on the river is popular for tourists and locals a like and there are a number of options available.Once in your Bloomington apartment, there is plenty to do in town as well as all the attractions just up the road in Minneapolis and Saint Paul.

Meat and Potatoes

As for dining out, most everyone will give the Twin City Grill a lot of well deserved stars. It's a local place in the unlikely location of the Mall of America. Great food, great wine list, and great service. It can make mall shopping a better experience! Tucci Benuchiis an equally popular Italian place and don't skip the Bloomington Chop House for a good meat and potatoes meal.

Yuck It Up

At night, sports bars are the places to start and you won't find better than either Joe Senser's for watching games and meeting new people. It's friendly and good. The Joke Joint is a great comedy place and there's no way you'll get out of there without a few good laughs. For upscale dancing and big nights out, head on up to Minneapolis to the clubs.

Bloomington is a great place to live and you're going to love your Bloomington apartment.
