Make Nebraska Your New Home for a Pleasing Price
Blair is a small town, that's for sure, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have a lot to offer the apartment renter. Although 4.7 square miles might seem small, your choices for the perfect apartment are only limited by your imagination. Looking for something on the economical side of things? Blair can deliver. The median household income as of 2000 was $41,214, so renting an apartment won't push your pocketbook into the red zone.
Blair is Big on Birding
If you're a fan of fowl or an avid admirer of the avian, Blair is the spot to rent an apartment. You'll have your fancy for the feathered tickled by the ornithological offerings of the greater Nebraska area. The tourism project Nebraska Metro Birding has all the resources you need to set out and enjoy the winged beauties who call Blair and the surrounding area home. Out on the prairie or tucked in the trees, you might spot a Harris Sparrow or a black-capped Chickadee, or perhaps you'll encounter a warbler, vireo, Dickcissel, or a Greater Prairie Chicken. If you are really lucky on your birding adventure, you might even spot the United States national bird, the bald eagle. Check out the Nebraska Metro Birding website to find out which months are best for which birds.
The birding trend is supported in part by theSpring Creek Prairie Audubon Center, a breathtaking tall-grass prairie nature preserve that spans 808 acres of Nebraska's untouched grassland. Within its borders are over three miles of walking trails, wetlands, and native wildflowers and grasses as far as the eye can see. These prairie lands are truly one of the great beauties of the American mid-west, and a piece of U.S. history that can be seen in wagon-wheel ruts still visible on the prairie vista. Visitors share the land with over 210 species of birds and 370 plant species and can learn about the prairie's life and history through nature programs, field trips, special events, and a recently added education building.
Every year, the center partners with Nebraska Folklife Network to throw a Prairie Festival that pays homage to this natural Nebraska gem. Visitors can interact with biologists, artists, educators, and writers who look to the prairie as a muse. The event includes all kinds of entertainment, like live music, information booths, and activities such as apple pressing, along with dance performances that go back to Nebraska's Irish roots. The event is a fun-filled occasion perfect for a family outing, and characteristic of Blair's family-friendly attitude. That's why so many families choose to rent an apartment in Blair.
You can be certain that Blair will provide you with a great renting experience, whether you're relocating for work or for play. Renting an apartment in Blair means great prices, beautiful prairies, and access to Nebraska's metropolitan areas without sacrificing the intimacy and convenience that such a close-knit community provides. Blair promises to provide a unique experience with a small-town feel that will leave any renter feeling right at home.
