Belton and the Belton Lake area are packed with beautiful parks. Large and small city parks are sprinkled throughout town and the resounding beauty of the region's rolling hills, rivers, and lakes makes getting outdoors not just the occasional treat but also a mandate. The Lampasas River runs through the heart of rustic Chalk Ridge Falls Park on the city's southwest side, flowing from the rocky shores of Silhouette Hallow Lake. Belton Lakeview Park overlooks the dam and lake from the bluffs on the city's far north side. Belton Lakeview also offers many active pursuits, including boating, fishing, and hiking.
Summer Fun Water Park
Beat the heat at Belton's own water park. Summer Fun is a 7-acre park with swimming pools and amusements for all ages. There are three, towering water slides, standing 40 feet tall and spiraling and twisting for more than 900 feet of thrills. The Lazy River is ideal for floating away the stresses of the day. Waterspouts, showers, and sprinklers add variety, and when it is time to take a break from the sun, pavilion seating for more than 500 is available. The park even hosts "adult nights" with dancing, drinks, and live music, making the park the best resort-like nightspot in the city.
