Yankee Air Museum and

Aviation enthusiasts descend by the thousands each year for the Thunder Over Michigan Air Show. The local Yankee Air Museum's bombers participate in this annual event, filling the skies of the Belleville area with the roaring engines of World War II aircraft. Although the museum lost several of its bombers and other artifacts to a fire in 2005, the contemporary facilities and exhibits are still among the best in the state. You can even book a flight in a vintage B-17 if you are willing and able to part with the cash, or use the free flight simulator to get your kicks instead.
