The Avon Community Heritage Festival features games, bouncy castles, food, fireworks, and just about anything else a family would want to keep young and old alike entertained to no end. This includes competitions, the likes of which probably put the town's musical talent in the spotlight to begin with. The Hendricks County Rib Fest is no doubt Indiana's major source of finger licking injuries, and may even explain the origin of Avon's previous city name of White Lick. On the other hand (so to speak), upon last inspection barbeque sauce was still brown.
