Castle Air Museum
There is definitely more to the Castle Airport area than just transport. Take a trip to the Castle Air Museum and you will soon see why, thanks to the museum's hefty collection of restored vintage aircraft. The museum gives patrons a view of aviation's past as well as what its future may hold. A number of exhibits feature World War II-era aircraft, though there are also earlier planes and newer jets as well. The museum helps organize a number of events to educate people about aerial history, and even holds a classic car show to help raise money for the museum.
Atwater Parks & Recre
There are a number of parks and city facilities dedicated to improving the quality of life for the people of Atwater, arranged about town, so nowhere is far from a park. You can go fishing on the river at Osborn Park or go skating at the skate park. Atwater's parks and recreation department operates a couple non-park facilities that are of great benefit to the community. A good example of this is the Atwater Community Center, a great place to hold events. There are also adults’ sports leagues so you can have good fun while getting in great shape.
