ABOUT CINCINATTI & CINCINATTI APARTMENT RENTALS
The Queen City has come a long way since the days of WKRP. It’s a modern, thriving city, looking towards the future. Like most river cities, Cincinnati’s attractions start with the river.
CINCINATTI ATTRACTIONS
Cincinnati's central riverfront is a wonderful place to explore. Located along the shore of the Ohio River just south of downtown Cincinnati, this mile-long linear park features award winning landscaping, a performance pavilion, concessions, an outdoor skating rink, eight outdoor tennis courts, three sand volleyball courts, a world class playground, and many other attractions. Yeatman's Cove, part of the central riverfront, is the site of the founding of Cincinnati.
Fountain Square, located right in the heart of Cincinnati, is one of Cincinnati’s most famous attractions. The fountain was dedicated to the people of Cincinnati in 1871, and the square over which it presides is a public gathering place. Finlay Market is another Cincinnati institution, the oldest public continuously operated market in the state.
The P&G Pavilion is known throughout the Tri-State region as a great place for free concerts featuring today's cutting-edge performers. In recent years it has hosted Meredith Brooks, Barenaked Ladies, The Four Tops, and Clint Black among many others. The end-of-summer Riverfest celebration, complete with fireworks, attracts an annual crowd of 500,000 to the park and surrounding area.
CINCINATTI DINING
Cincinnati is known for unique culinary delicacies like its famous “Cincinnati chili,” ordered two, three, four, or five ways, depending on how it is served and the number of toppings. Try “Cincinnati Chili” at several independent restaurant chains, including Gold Star Chili and Empress Chili. O'Bryon's Irish Pub is one of the best rooftop patios in Cincinnati with casual menu choices like fish sandwiches, burgers, quesadillas, and, of course, beer. Trio is best known for its fresh daily seafood specialties but has an extensive non-seafood menu as well. The Grand Finale offers fine-dining favorites like filet mignon paired with shrimp or lobster, rack of lamb and chicken and crepes filled with crab, scallops or vegetables, all served with liberal doses of creamy sauces. Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse is the place for a super-fresh, icy cold appetizer of clams, oysters, shrimp and entrees of crab and steaks with scrumptious toppings.CINCINATTI NIGHTLIFE
The Comet hosts local music shows, from garage rock to bluegrass. There’s also a pool table and a jukebox with great jazz and early rock’n’roll. Top Cat’s is another great place that hosts local rock’n’roll acts in a comfortable atmosphere with an outdoor patio. Annie’s is famous for metal concerts including Metallica, Pantera, and Dokken, and is now booking shows with local and well-known indie bands of all types. Or try Metropolis which features separate rooms for top 20, R&B and hip-hop, country and techno.Cincinnati Neighborhoods
