Finding an apartment in Bronx, New York

Bronx has great apartment rentals to choose from in a wide variety of different neighborhoods and surrounding cities. You can easily find a pet friendly apartment in Bronx or search for amenities like a fitness center, swimming pool or off-street parking. Make sure that you discover all that Bronx has to offer when looking for an apartment for rent.

ABOUT THE BRONX & BRONX APARTMENT RENTALS

Home of the Yankee Stadium and the famed New York Yankees, the Bronx is one of New York’s most vital and exciting boroughs.  The Bronx also boasts one of the world’s greatest zoos and one of the world’s most prestigious high schools, the Bronx School of Science.

BRONX ATTRACTIONS

Central Park in Manhattan may be more famous, but Pelham Park in the Bronx is bigger and even has its own man-made beach.  Orchard Beach, created in the 1930’s, is known locally as “the Bronx Riviera.”  You can enjoy a day in the park, a romp at the beach and then a quick trip to City Island, a New England-type fishing village right in the Bronx, with quaint shops and excellent fishing off of charter boats.

If you’re an outdoor enthusiast, there’s also the world-famous Bronx Zoo.  Over 200 acres makes it the largest urban zoo in the nation, home to more than 4,000 animals from 600 different species.  The New York Botanical Garden covers 250 acres and includes 27 specialty gardens, while Van Cortland Park covers almost two square miles and offers everything from horseback riding to boating, golf, tennis, and even cricket.

In fact, the Bronx’s 6000 acres of parkland make it the New York borough with the most parkland.  More than 24% of its total area is reserved for hiking, biking, picnicking and other outdoor recreation.  There are also more than 60 landmarks and historic districts in addition to museums, shopping, and more.

BRONX DINING

The Bronx is full of great restaurants.  Mario’s in the heart of “Little Italy” is considered by many locals to be the finest restaurant in the Bronx.  The southern Italian food is authentic and plentiful.  For quality American-style food with smaller portions and an elegant atmosphere try Riverdale Garden.  Eat classic juicy hamburgers at Billy’s Burgers and for steaks try the Western Steak House or Willie’s Steak House.  China Wok is the place for excellent Chinese food, while The Lobster Box is the place for seafood and a small town atmosphere.  City Line Diner: Woodlawn Food has great breakfasts.

BRONX NIGHTLIFE

The Bronx is considered the birthplace of salsa music in the U.S., and it’s full of places that host the most coveted Latin musicians of our time.  Try Jimmy’s Bronx Café, Willie’s Steak House, and Club Rhumba for live music, salsa dancing, and other Latin music like merengue and cha cha.  For something more relaxed, enjoy a drink outdoors at The Gate or Gowanus Yacht Club.
