About Antioch, CA
Once called Marsh's Landing, East Antioch and Smith's Landing, Antioch is a city rich in American history. Antioch was founded in 1851 and is formally a suburb of the larger city of San Francisco. Antioch is not a large city, with a population sitting just over 100,000, but there are plenty of activities and sights to see when living in this quiet California area. With Black Diamond Mine Park available, and plenty of lakes for swimming and camping, Antioch is an ideal destination for the laid-back resident.

Contra Costa County F

Hit up the Contra Costa County Fair during the fall, spring, or summer for an experience rich in local culture, great food, music, and fun. Each year, people in Antioch and most of the Contra Costa County come together to put on a festival and fair. Dates vary for the fair from year to year, but tend to be held several times throughout the year. There is a strong agricultural aspect to this fair, and livestock are usually present. Horse racing, fair games and rides, and other exciting experiences await. The fall fair is particularly large, and is often the largest of the year.
