If you move into a new apartment in this sparkling town, be sure to pay a visit to Deleglise's cabin at the Langlade County Museum. He'll appreciate the company.

Antigo may be a small town, but it's one with a rich past and a promising future. If you enjoy learning about local history, be sure to pay a visit to the Langlade County Museum once you get settled in your new place. This museum is housed in the Carnegie Library, a historic building from 1902 that was also the home of the Antigo Public Library from 1905 to 1997, and it's full of information about the history of Antigo and Wisconsin. A visit here is a great way to get to know your new hometown a little better.

Adventuring in Antigo

While Antigo is a quiet place to live, there are always times when you need a little adventure and excitement in your life. Fortunately, there's nothing more exciting than the wilderness of Wisconsin. You can enjoy fishing, hunting, swimming, and even snowmobiling in many of the parks in and around town. You can even take a trip to the Kettlebowl Ski Area, in nearby Bryan, for a bit of downhill or cross country skiing. What a great way to make the most of all the snow you're sure to see in northern Wisconsin! In winter or summer, head down to the Clara R. McKenna Aquatic Center, which has a couple of heated, indoor pools. You'll be able to make quite a splash in Antigo!

Rah, Rah, Rah!

Sports are kind of a big deal in Wisconsin–as big a deal as that scrumptious Wisconsin cheddar. Fortunately, when you live in Antigo, you'll be close enough to Green Bay that you can drive into the city to catch a Packers game whenever you'd like. Getting together with other football fans to celebrate a win (or commiserate a loss) is a great way to make some new friends. If you don't feel like making the drive, you can also watch the game from a sports bar or on the big screen TV at a neighbor's apartment. (But real fans cheer on the team from the stands. Come on, Green Bay's only an hour and a half away!)

Eating it Up

One of the benefits of living in Antigo is that this town is known for its excellent restaurants. Get some great home-cooked meals (just like Mom used to make) at any number of restaurants in town. Be sure to try the Two Angels Family Restaurant, the Leffel’s Supper Club, and the Miller’s Nutshell Supper Club. You’ll be among friends in any of these places because when you're here, you're a member of the family. What more could you ask for? Oh, and make sure to eat plenty of local cheese. There aren't too many parts of the country that are known for their world-class cheeses the way that Wisconsin is. Move into a new apartment in Antigo and treat yourself to a great meal and a fantastic new life. You deserve it! "
