The 42,000 people who live in the city have beautiful Cranes Roost Lake which is a downtown beauty. Fun on the Lake
Uptown Altamonte refers to the main area of town. Worth the Wait

Bubbalou's Bodacious Barbeque may be a Southern chain but don't tell that to the people who wait in line for delicious smoked dishes. The best bars in Altamonte are smaller, local places. Timmy Mack's is great for not only having a few beers but for darts, pool, and watching games on t.v. It's casual without being a dive bar and a great place for new people in town because people there are so friendly. Even more local in feel is Pretzel's Pub and Bobby G's ...both are pubs and both have some great regulars.
