Outdoor Life in Alpha
If you love the great outdoors, you will be thrilled with how much you can do in Alpha. Because Alpha is a small town, getting outdoors and into the wilderness comes easy. Several forested areas are available near Snyder's Road, just past the interstate highway. Only 15 minutes away from Alpha sits the beautiful Musconetcong Gorge Nature Preserve. Swimming, camping, and hiking are popular activities here, although some areas of the preserve itself are protected. Many people spot beautiful owls and deer in this nature preserve when they visit. The nearby Musconetcong Gorge is also a majestic sight to see.
Eating in Alpha
Foodies will always find something to enjoy when living in Alpha. Italian food abounds in this small town, so stop into one of the most popular eateries in the area for some mouth-watering pizza and pasta. People travel from all over New Jersey to visit Little Italy's for a great taste of the old country. Enjoy the Spruce Run Recreation area, one of several excellent state parks located just outside of Alpha. This beautiful wilderness area features a huge lake for swimming, boating, and fishing. Camping is also readily available here when you want to spend the night under the stars and sky. The Mariton Wildlife Sanctuary is also just a few short miles away, allowing you to get a glimpse of some of the state's natural flora, fauna, and wildlife. Take out your boat here during the summer months and take nature walks during the fall when the leaves turn bright shades of red.
