Calling all skaters, buds, and dudes alike: Veterans Skate Park is the place for skating down rails, bullnoses, and hubbas (those terms may not mean much to us non-skater folks but they sure sound cool.) This awesomely radical 15,000 square foot concrete skate park opened in 2006 and has become a hit with skateboarders all across the country.

CityFest has not been around all that long (the festival started in 2003) but it has managed to become one of the most popular festivals in the area. There are also rides, games, vendors, and special activities for kids like pony rides, special presentations, and arts and crafts. Alabaster residents look forward to this one all year round.

One of Alabama’s largest Christmas parades takes place in Alabaster every year. It’s sponsored by the city’s Beautification Board and features a parade with over 100 beautifully decorated floats, vehicles, and trailers.
