Affton Community Fest

Visit the Affton Community Days Parade and Festival to experience the community and culture of this city. The event is kicked off by a large parade with floats built by area residents and businesses. Activities following the parade include live music, competitions, and pageants. The kids can enjoy games, rides, and face painting. Food and other local vendors set up throughout the festival to ensure you have everything you need to complete your visit. This event takes place during the month of September each year, providing fun and enjoyment for the entire family.

Historic Venues

There are many ways to explore the history of Affton. The Ulysses S. Grant Historical Site is a place where you can visit the farm owned by Grant and his wide. Tours are given daily and special programs are held throughout the year. The Oakland House should also be on your list of places to visit. It was built in 1853 and belonged to Louis A. Benoist, a former St. Louis banker. The house can be viewed during scheduled hours and also be rented as a venue for special occasions like weddings and parties.

Outdoor Fun

There are plenty of ways to enjoy outdoor time in Affton. The Tower Tee Golf Complex is an 18-hole course equipped with driving ranges and putting greens. Golf lessons and mini golf are also available at the course. Grant’s Trail extends over eight miles and encompasses over 75 acres. You can walk or bike on this trail and get an up close view of the beautiful landscaping and variety of wildlife native to Missouri. Affton is also home to several city parks where you can play ball, have a picnic, or soak up the sun.
