University Diversity

<p>Home to six universities, junior colleges and vocational colleges, much centers around the college campuses, and the campuses offer up much diversity in learning environments and teaching styles. Abilene Christian University has the goal of becoming the "premier university for the education of Christ-centered, global leaders." by 2020. And Hardin-Simmons University was founded in 1891 and has been running ever since. If you're looking for a new city to get educated in, Abilene is it. But don't fret if school isn't your thing, there's a lot more than education going on in Abilene!</p>

Cattle Town

<p>Beef is king in this Texas town. Once settled into your Abilene apartment, you'll want to start sampling the local fare. Betty's Little Brisket is famous for its barbeque, and is thought to be the best in the whole state but Harold's runs a close second and is full of character and characters. The Lytle Land Company is great for inexpensive steaks while Alfredo's is the hot spot for Mexican food. La Popular is a bakery but they also serve up the best breakfasts in town. This city may not be huge but the variety of restaurants is!</p>
